Why do we like Greensboro?
The weather here is great, it does not get to cold during the winter and the summers are pretty mild as well. It is very humid during the summer, but it is easy to get used to. We also have two very fun sports team here in the city, the Greensboro Grasshoppers and Carolina Dynamo Professional Soccer. If you like golf and are in the Greensboro area we also have The Wyndham Championship, where the PGA tours best players and brightest stars compete in one of the countries oldest and most prestigious events.
We also have a large coliseum where many musicians and shows stop to show us their talent. It was recently renovated and now seats over 23,500 people and has over 800 events and shows every year. Most recently the Ringling Brothers were in town, which was a fun night for the kids.
Our city also has a very patriotic background and dates back to the early 1700's when the first settlement was established. Since then, Greensboro has played many important roles, from the revolutionary war to modern politics. Recently it has become a center for educational and economic opportunities.
